Chess came into my life in 2008, not having gotten into it till I met my boyfriend, Mark. Unexpectedly, it became a part of my life in a way (the “About Me” tab) I could never have expected. Not only is it an intriguing game, but its value is increasingly being recognized in formal education.

Interest in the game has been growing exponentially, and I can’t help but attribute that, in part, to its inclusion in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. I’ve also witnessed this growth, first hand, through Chess.com, having become directly involved with Chess.com/TV along with Mark. I soon hope to again frequent the site in the near future, along with Chesskid.com, a safe site designed for kids (of ALL ages).
