IT’S BEEN A LONG TIME COMING AND IT’S FINALLY HERE!
Welcome to my humble internet abode! In your honor, I’ve been pushing hard to fix up the place (you know how it is when company’s coming 😉 ), so please, make yourself at home and feel free to look around!
The Navigation Bar is one big “treasure hunt” of pages jam-packed with descriptions of all the “goodies” you’ll come to find each time you visit. Some are already there just waiting to be discovered*, and you’ll find plenty of treats filling the Home Page sidebar and the footers on every page, too! So be sure to turn up the music—you’ll find the Play button on the sidebar! This IS a party, after all 😀
In fact, to do this in style, everyone (in the continental U.S. & Canada) has a chance to win some special “Party Favors” 😀 Throughout the year, typically 1 prize will be offered for each Giveaway, BUT–since this is in celebration of BOTH BLOG LAUNCHES, I’m offering 3—yes, 3 DIFFERENT ITEMS!
BOOKMARKS (set of 3)………………MOUSEPADS……………..and NOTEBOOKS!
To enter, all you need to do is follow the corresponding LINKS for the PARTY FAVORS you hope to win—and you’re IN! All giveaways will be randomly picked, and if you don’t win this time around, I’ll be handing out prizes regularly throughout the coming year! Follow my blog, and you’ll never miss a Giveaway 🙂 Also, I must ask you to be patient with me on announcing the winners since I am a Rafflecopter Rookie! 🙄
Win a “Creativity Cookbook” MOUSEPAD!
Win a “Creativity Cookbook” NOTEBOOK!
NOW, as excited as I am about finally launching these blogs, what I’m over-the-top THRILLED about are the SPECIAL GUESTS who’ve generously agreed to join me for a “Lighter Side Up” Q&A as my FIRST OFFICIAL POSTS here at Creativity Cookbook AND Writer Side UP! The special occasion that pushed me to finally launch my blogs (because I REALLY wanted to participate in it) happens to land on September 15th-ish. Yes, some of you know which day I’m talking about! It’s INTERNATIONAL DOT DAY! And who will I have gracing both blogs? None other than THE Ambassadors of Writing, Illustrating AND Creativity: Peter H. and Paul A. Reynolds!!! Yes, you read that right! 😀
I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect way to christen my blogs. I get to create my first Dot to celebrate this great day with its founders**. I hope you will be here to join in the merriment!
(*IMPORTANT UPDATE: Peter Reynolds has a very generous spirit. His desire to please others (like myself), who are very enthusiastic about Dot Day, is very genuine, but as there are only 24 hours in a day, and he and Paul are extremely busy people, it was decided to postpone their “Lighter Side Up” Q&A originally scheduled for Fri., Sept. 12th. It is now pending for late Nov./early Dec., once Peter’s high-demand publishing schedule eases up. At that time the brothers will be able to give the thoughtful answers they prefer, rather than ones rushed under pressure 🙂 I sincerely appreciate their consideration, wanting to supply quality in all they offer, whether as guests on fledgling blogs or their work worldwide. So much to be admired and I’m sure you will agree—they are certainly worth the wait! What’s exciting is Terry Shay has stepped up in agreeing to move up HIS Q&A!)
For more GIVEAWAYS, please check out my sister blog, “Writer Side UP!” now!
GOOD LUCK and I’m SO HAPPY YOU’RE HERE!
* My plan is to eventually post infrequently—maybe once a week or so—but while I’m still in the process of filling in initial content, some (like my Basement Bops) have to be installed as actual posts, not pages. I apologize that you will receive notifications for each one. This will only happen during this brief period of time, post-launch. Thank you for bearing with me!
** I would be remiss not to mention Terry Shay, the man who first had the idea for Dot Day, based on Peter’s book The Dot. I will also have the pleasure of doing a “Lighter Side Up” Q&A with him in the near future.
Congratulations, Donna! Wow, I LOVE your drawings!

Cynthia, thank you for commenting here! 😀 And thanks! The drawings for both blogs took a few days ’cause I wanted one for every single heading and subheading, but I’m glad I decided to do them 🙂

Yay, Katey! Can’t wait to put up the Q&A,though it may be delayed. As we can all imagine, Peter and Paul are ridiculously busy and I stressed that this should not be a priority with all the Dot Day and publishing demands! 🙂 I’m just thrilled they’re going to be guests here! 😀

Okay I am currently reading “How They Croaked: The Awful Ends Of The Awfully Famous”
What I like about it – it has a bunch of weird facts about how some famous people died
What I don’t like about it – it has a bunch of weird facts about how some famous people died

Seeing you here, too, REALLY made me smile, Erik 😀 😀 😀 And I happen to know the editor of that book. She mentioned it during a workshop last year, so I’m familiar with it! I also realized, yesterday, that when I was setting up rafflecopter (my first time using it!), I accidentally posted the bookmark ones on the wrong blogs, so the one about what you’re reading was supposed to be on Writer Side Up! and your creative strength was supposed to be here! I kept wondering why people were answering the wrong question on the wrong blog! lol It was MY mistake! Live and learn 🙂
Thank you for following here, too, my dear 😀
